SAMAYA x AIXPLOREUSE

BIVOUAC AND TREKKING HOLIDAYS IN THE HAUTES-ALPES

Emilie Robert, founder of Aixploreuse, an adventure and travel agency specializing in the creation of unique experiences for intrepid women, equipped the participants in her latest bivouac and trek with 3-season tents Samaya INSPIRE2. Emilie explains the values behind this project and the objectives that drive it on a daily basis.

What's the concept behind Aixploreuse and what inspired you to bring it to life?
Emilie Robert:
The concept behind Aixploreuse is to create unique and enriching experiences in which adventure and discovery are at the heart of every expedition. The idea is to offer stays and half-days that combine physical and sporting activities, such as hiking, trekking, yoga, surfing, cycling and many others, while exploring the beauty and cultural richness of the destinations we visit.

What drove me to bring Aixploreuse to life was, above all, a deep passion for adventure and sharing. I've always been convinced that exploration and sport are incredible and powerful ways of reconnecting with oneself and with others. In creating Aixploreuse, I wanted to offer women, often working mothers, a break from their daily lives. A time when they can recharge their batteries, challenge themselves and create unforgettable memories, while forming strong bonds with other women who share the same passions.

Aixploreuse is more than just a travel agency, it's a community of inspired and inspiring women, ready to experience strong, authentic moments together.

What was the aim of the bivouac stay?
ER:
The aim of the bivouac stay in Névache was to introduce participants to the immersive and authentic experience of bivouac. We wanted to offer a unique opportunity to disconnect from everyday life, reconnect with nature and discover the fundamentals of mountain bivouac in a safe, professionally supervised environment.

This stay was designed to enable each participant to learn basic bivouac techniques: setting up a tent, preparing an outdoor meal, finding their way around and, of course, understanding and respecting the natural environment. The idea was to create a formative yet convivial experience where each participant could feel supported and encouraged.

In addition to hands-on learning, we wanted this stay to be a time for sharing and connecting. Sharing and enjoying the tranquility of nature under a starry sky are precious moments that strengthen bonds and create lasting memories.

It was an incredible adventure, as on the first evening we had to set up camp in a rainstorm. This made our stay all the more unforgettable.

At Samaya, one of our missions is to make bivouacking in the mountains more accessible. How does this goal align with this trip and with Aixploreuse?
ER:
This goal aligns perfectly with the trip we offer, as well as with the overall vision of Aixploreuse.

This bivouac experience is designed to introduce participants to the joys and challenges of bivouac, giving them the knowledge and skills they need to bivouac safely and confidently. By demystifying the technical aspects and providing a reassuring, supervised environment, we make bivouacking more accessible to those who might never have dared try it on their own.

On a larger scale, Aixploreuse shares this same ambition of accessibility. Our stays and half-days are designed to enable women, often very active and mothers, to find time for themselves, to recharge their batteries and experience authentic adventures. We firmly believe that every woman deserves to discover the freedom and satisfaction of exploring nature, regardless of her initial skill level or previous experience.

By making the bivouac more accessible, we offer each participant the chance to surpass herself, gain autonomy and experience unforgettable moments, in harmony with nature and with themselves.

How were your bivouac nights?
ER:
Our bivouac nights were a real adventure, with ups and downs, but every moment contributed to making the experience memorable. The first night was particularly difficult, as we had to set up camp in a downpour. Everything was wet and we were very cold, which made the night quite uncomfortable.

The second night was just the opposite. We set up camp in the sunshine, on the edge of a magnificent lake. The setting was idyllic and we were able to take full advantage of this moment of calm and comfort. That night, we really felt the magic of bivouacking, far from the hassles of everyday life, in full communion with nature.

I turned to Samaya for our bivouac gear because our values are aligned. I particularly appreciate the quality and robustness of the products, designed to withstand the most extreme conditions. Samaya embodies an image of quality and reliability, values we share at Aixploreuse.

At Aixploreuse, we aim to offer our participants unique and rewarding experiences, with a focus on quality and safety. Our Samaya equipment guarantees our adventurers optimum comfort and protection, even in the most challenging conditions. By choosing Samaya, we know we are offering our customers the very best, reflecting our commitment to providing unforgettable adventures.
