ISPO AWARD

ISPO, the leading international sports trade network, presents annual awards in recognition of the best equipment in the sports industry. The "Winner" award is given to all new products that offer real added value to users in terms of quality, functionality or durability.

Samaya was founded in 2018 with the ambition of promoting the art of bivouac through technical and sustainable equipment. A finalist for ISPO BrandNew in 2019, Samaya received this award, which recognizes innovative start-ups, during the presentation of the Samaya2.5. This lightweight, compact tent revolutionizes the 4-season tent market.

The Samaya2.5 tent won an ISPO Award in its first year on the market in 2020. This iconic tent is also an Outdoor Retailer finalist in 2022. With Nanovent technology, this single-wall tent offers unparalleled versatility and is the perfect partner for any alpine expedition.

" Through the technicality of our products, we wish to contribute to the fact that we live in a world where "sleeping outside" is an art, a source of wonder and serenity. We believe that bivouacs open the door to a collective awareness of the fact that the well-being of people and the health of the planet are oneand the same.

With the Samaya ASSAUT2 ULTRA, Samaya has set itself apart by presenting an innovative product on the tent market. This tent is designed for the final ascent of the most challenging peaks. From the choice of materials to the construction, every detail has been optimized to meet the demands of the sport. The combination of Dyneema® fiber and an ePTFE membrane ensures exceptional lightness (980 grams), waterproofing (20,000 mm) and breathability (40,000 g/m²/h). A new process for welding the floor and walls with a seamless joint enhances strength and watertightness. Two lengthwise carbon poles have been combined with a third hoop to optimize interior volume. An ultra-light safety strap has also been integrated.

With its first backpack, Samaya sets no less exacting standards in terms of performance, design and functionality. Particular attention has also been paid to the durability of Samaya ULTRA35. The Samaya ULTRA35 was created in close collaboration with Samaya Family athletes to develop the lightest waterproof mountaineering backpack on the market. With a volume of 35 liters that can be topped up by a further 5 liters, the Samaya ULTRA35 has a minimalist base weight of 495 grams, thanks to a modular accessory concept that allows you to carry only the bare essentials according to your needs.

"A waterproof Dyneema® backpack is exactly what you need to go on a mountain trip: it's lightweight and durable. The Dyneema is biologically sourced and the backpack is designed to withstand the toughest terrain, while being repairable. Ice and ski accessories are removable to fit the needs of each adventure. Lightweight and durable, without compromising on performance - it's perfect."
Andrea Andriani, ISPO Award 2022 jury member and Collaborators Club

The Samaya RADICAL1 is the first 4-season tent to offer such high mechanical strength, waterproofing and breathability at an ultra-minimalist weight of 655 grams and a folded volume of just 2 liters (includingpoles ). The Samaya RADICAL1 revolutionizes the technical touring tent market, offering users an unrivalled combination of lightness, comfort and performance. While the Samaya RADICAL1 has been designed for individual use, purists won't hesitate to set off in pairs with this exceptional, cutting-edge tent for alpine-style expeditions or any other activity where the smallest gram counts. Samaya is convinced that this tent will meet the needs of many mountaineers, trail runners, ski tourers, cyclists, paragliders, trekkers, water sports enthusiasts and others who need a bivouac.

"We wanted to create an eco-designed, ultra-minimalist 4-season tent for high altitude. We started working on this project with our athletes and our research and development team. And we realized that this tent would actually meet the needs not only of mountaineers, but also of many users who do not necessarily practice in extreme conditions. Who can do more can do less."
Ghislain Pipers, co-founder of Samaya
